Léonie Maignan
Acoustics Intern
Léonie is completing a 6-month internship as the final stage of her master’s degree in acoustics and musicology (Aix-Marseille University). She is leading a research project to develop a testing bench for our products, allowing for a deeper analysis of their vibratory characteristics — a tool that will help us further improve the reliability and quality of our devices.
The project was born in 2015 during a workshop for the ITER master’s program, held on a scenic lookout overlooking Lake Paladru. Due to various constraints (a protected outdoor area), the students proposed listening to sound using the body itself.
Later on, two social science laboratories — PACTE and CRESSON — took over the project to further research body-based listening and develop the first proof of concept.
